Idk anyone who thinks that all men always want to rape women and that consent is just something they pretend to adhere to bc of ‘society’ is a bad person in my book.
Being around him makes me physically uncomfortable so I’m good. Honestly he’s a lost cause to me. There is literally nothing about what he thinks that is okay to me. Oh well :/

I may have misunderstood his view since I always felt too disturbed by the concept to read his writings on it, but I was under the impression that he believes rape to be wrong, and thus it is not a societal pretense but rather a moral imperative that requires consent. Frankly I feel that he conflates sexual desire with the desire to rape, or at least I give him the benefit of the doubt as far as I can.

Still, I am in no way defending any of his views; when I see the good in him it’s because of my interactions with him and not because I sympathize with his beliefs. Ultimately my pity outstrips my indignation, but this is because of the experiences I have had with him, and I certainly don’t expect to change anyone’s mind about him.

haha aww I actually feel bad for him most of the time. his views tend to hurt him more than anyone else; they’re so extreme that I doubt he reinforces many toxic views, but rather takes them to their absurd conclusion and alienates even the people who might agree with him on some level.

I’ve spent a good amount of time with him and it is really sad to me that someone who is otherwise funny, at times kind and caring, and who so obviously craves love, is so hopelessly alienated from his peers and especially from women. or I should say, alienates himself.

that said, he can sometimes be a real jackass; there is, at times, a real maliciousness behind his views and the insensitive things he does, and in those moments I am ready to condemn him, and I have.

but please oh my god please please please let me be in your girl gang!
